Benefits and Technology
RYCO Bitelok Mark III One-Piece Non-Skive Crimp Couplings give you Higher Technology and Greater Performance. And when matched with RYCO higher Working Pressure hydraulic hose, your hose assemblies will last longer, give greater impulse life and be able to operate at higher working pressures.

Mono Block Bends
are made from a single piece of steel (mono block) and are far superior to and stronger than fabricated welded style constructions. Being of one-piece construction there is no chance of faulty weld or leak path developing.
Hi Collar of Insert provides maximum strength and hi metal-to-metal lock. Hi Collar of Ferrule reduces elongation (stretching) during crimping minimising internal tube stress. Stretching of the hose tube introduces excessive tube stress that can cause premature tube breakdown.
Micro Grooves improve oil retention. Acting similarly to a series of O Rings, they resist the pressurised seepage of system oil over the life of the hose assembly. Together with reverse barb technology they provide superior sealing properties.

Reverse Barb Technology
(non-aggressive barb form) reduces stress of the liner (hose tube) and prevents oil entrapment within the coupling, resulting in excellent sealing without the risk of localised tearing of the liner that can occur with more aggressive sharp-edged barb forms.
Series Code Grooves. 2 Grooves signify T200 Series. 3 Grooves signify T400 Series. 4 Grooves signify T700 Series. 6 Grooves signify T900 Series.
Imperial Hexagons. RYCO Couplings use imperial size hexagons as per SAE specifications for nuts, male inserts and most female inserts and provide plenty of wrenching clearance.
Branding: Female Swivel Nuts have their Connector Style, "RYCO", Batch Code and Dash Size branded on them; Inserts have their Part-Number, "RYCO" and Batch Code branded on them; Ferrules have their Hose Styles, "RYCO" and Batch Code branded on them; providing simple identification, complete traceability and enhancing safety by reducing the risk of error.
If it's not branded - it's not RYCO

Non-Skive.
The need for skiving on most RYCO hose assembly configurations has been abolished. This is of great advantage when making hose assemblies. Non-Skive hose assemblies save time (and money!) and further reduce risk by eliminating a process.
Forward Angle ferrule teeth grip the hose with a ''fish hook'' effect providing maximum lock while enhancing compression control. Compression control of the liner (hose tube) is critical to coupling performance. Over compression can cause it to breakdown or crack prematurely, while under compression will result in lower sealing properties.
Graduated Deep Tooth Ferrule provides enormously strong, graduated grip on the hose. Deep teeth easily penetrate through the cover, accommodating it with margin to spare, and then bite powerfully onto the wire reinforcement; resulting in measured, evenly graduated compression.
