RYCO Hydraulics is an Australian owned company that manufactures quality hydraulic hose, couplings and adaptors. Founded in 1946, RYCO is now a global business with operations in Australia, New Zealand, the United States of America, Malaysia, Singapore, Peru, Brazil, the UK and Europe.
We are currently seeking a seasoned HR/OH&S Advisor to join our Melbourne based HR team in a parental leave replacement role.
Reporting to the Group Human Resources Manager, the position is responsible for:
• Providing timely recommendations and advice to senior management in relation to HR, ER and Safety issues, procedures and compliance;
• Undertaking all aspects of the recruitment, employment and inductions processes;
• Supporting and coaching line managers to ensure that all people management activities are undertaken and performed consistently and in compliance with legislative obligations;
• Ensuring that all HR and Safety policies and procedures are communicated, implemented and observed by managers and employees;
• Participating in key HR and Safety projects as directed by the Group HR Manager;
• Managing the company’s Workplace Health and Safety systems and programs with a focus on risk management, safety awareness, injury prevention, rehabilitation and statutory compliance;
• Other HR and Safety generalist activities as directed;
To be successful in what will be a challenging and varied role, you will need a blend of strategic and hands on experience in HR and Safety and you will conversant in current HR and Safety issues and legislation.
To be the successful candidate, you will possess:
• Proven experience in providing both strategic and operational support to business managers in HR, ER and Safety related areas;
• Knowledge of Workplace Relations and Safety legislation, standards and practices;
• Advanced communication skills;
• The ability to work successfully with multiple stakeholders at a variety of levels;
• Tertiary qualifications in HR, Safety or a related discipline;
• The flexibility to undertake interstate travel as required;
• Resilience and a focus on delivering outstanding results.
