STM Golf Day Sponsorship
Being one of the larger Truck and Machinery dealers in the area, Sydney Trucks and Machinery have a vast array of clients that benefit from the services that a RYCO 24.7 Outlet can provide. STM are local, family owned and operated, with the owners having grown up and still living in close vicinity. STM now have branches up and down the east coast through the acquisition of smaller dealerships. Canberra and Wollongong being the two most recent.
Held at Camden Lakeside Country Club, STM’s annual Golf Day was a great success for staff, clients, suppliers and supporters. RYCO 24•7 Ingleburn supported this year’s Golf Day with sponsorship of the 10th hole.
Sponsorship gives the ability to be able to form your own team. RYCO 24•7 Ingleburn’s team included Daniel (RYCO 24.7 Penrith) and 2 clients of RYCO 24•7 Ingleburn. Daniel and I got to meet with local business owners and suppliers and had a fun day with 2 of our valued clients.
The day started with a light lunch as players started to gather and register their attendance for the 12.30 tee off. The event format is a 4 person Ambrose so as to speed things along and encourage teams to work together as well as socialise.
As teams finished up we gathered at the club house, freshened up, then made our way to dinner where guests had some light entertainment and handed out awards for the day, the RYCO 24•7 Ingleburn team taking away the NAGA award.
MAC UTE out of luck on the Gold Coast
The Macmahon Racing team have walked away from Round 7 of the V8ute Championship on the streets of the Gold Coast left wondering what might have been after another run of bad luck ended what would have been a fantastic result. The weekend started with Gerard “Maverick” McLeod narrowly missing a Top 10 qualifying result ending up 11th at the end of the 20 minute session only 0.9 tenths of a second off pole position.
The weekend’s final race saw McLeod starting from the rear of the field (28th) again on points tally and yet again McLeod was in the hunt early moving up to the top 20 within the first lap. McLeod then picked off another five cars lap by lap with an impressive drive to finish 15th at the end of the 12lap race.
The eighth and final round of the V8ute championship is on the 5-7th December on the streets of Sydney’s Homebush Bay Olympic Park. You can keep up to date with all the V8ute news by logging onto the official V8ute website www.v8utes.com.au.

RYCO Melbourne staff and customers treated to ‘Hot Laps’ in the Macmahon V8 Racing Ute
As a result of RYCO sponsoring Gerard “The Maverick” McLeod in five rounds of the Australian V8 Ute Racing Series, we were invited by Gerard to bring customers and staff to the Sandown race track to participate in some ‘Hot Laps’ in his V8 Ute. A draw was held among the interested Melbourne staff and those lucky enough to be selected were treated to two incredibly fast (and truth be told slightly scary) ‘Hot Laps’. With Gerard at the wheel, you needed to put a lot of trust in his driving skills. As the first corner on the race track comes racing towards you, the feeling of relief as Gerard touches the brake pedal quickly disappears as he instead accelerates into the corner and you start to question his sanity and your own mortality. From this point on, and for the rest of your time in the passenger seat, you are in his very capable hands and it can be said that the adrenalin rush only gets better when he clicks the Ute into top gear at 195 kph down the back straight. Needless to say after every ‘Hot Lap’ session there were big smiles all round, and both RYCO customers and staff thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Please join us in wishing Gerard every success for the next three rounds of the V8 Ute Racing series.
