T7000 – SALVAGE
SALVAGE terminations (also known as “Lifesaver”, socket tube-weld or socket weld-on) are effectively socket-weld terminations to suit hydraulic tubing and are offered in both metric or inch sizes.
The salvage (tube) end of the coupling is then usually connected to the system via welding or brazing directly to a matched type and size of tubing.
The coupling must be protected from excessive heat build-up to ensure the hose is not damaged as a result of the welding process.
